Special gift for soon to be parent. This is a mobile made for Jackie’s sister, Kari who is adopting. The drawings were done by Kari when she was young. Now her new child will be able to see her mom’s talents displayed in the room set aside for the new arrival. Special thanks goes out to a thoughtful aunt : ) !

Lainie’s grandma is an ovarian cancer survivor. The color for the ovarian cancer ribbon is teal. Along with the ribbon, Lainie also designed a couple of other softies to be made.

Madeline’s elephant is from Big Top Mountain, where all true performers go to perfect their

talents.

Christine drew her creation many years ago. Her boyfriend surprised her this Christmas with a 3D version from Hall Of Creative Design originating from Mistletoe & Snow!

Charlie’s robot is from Earthpeace, an alternative Earth-like planet exactly two galaxies away. It’s a place where all live in peace. This creation was sent here to remind all four corners of the earth to spread the spirit of peace. That’s why he is shaped like he is (hence, the four corners.)

Kaden’s giraffe comes from a forest where all good things are within reach.

Updates…FINALLY!

There was a mix-up at Santa’s factory. The cat was sent to the red room and look what happened! Thank goodness the elves were paying attention and the cat turned out like he was drawn.

Identity Isle is where all who know exactly who they are and their purpose go for a bi-annual meeting to discuss helping others find their purpose.

Santa bug was a special Dec. 22 birthday gift. Santabug reminds (bugs) people to not forget his birthday. Seems the date can get lost in the holiday shuffle at times.

There is a awesome assurance that a greater power watches over us and sees us through. The events that made top headlines yesterday are so heartbreaking. Earlier this week, a father reached out to me and sent me pics from a September birthday surprise for his son Aidan’s 5th birthday. He told me that Aidan continues to sleep with his super hero “Clawman” creation every night.

Smiles are what a 5 yr old’s life should be filled with… These pics couldn’t have come at a better time. People contact me to make gifts for loved ones. The smile that I received this week from something I did a few months ago is a gift to me. Thank you, Alan, for sharing them and allowing me to put smiles out there.

Open doors, opportunities, and connections are perks of the “I can’t believe I do this” work I do! An example of this came in the form of an inquiry by author, Robert Caine to have a prototype made for the main character in the book he wrote, Smiley Rylee The Tooth Fairy. The book teaches healthy habits and how to treat others. Most importantly, it’s all about making sad people happy. 50% of proceeds go to dental non-profit groups. With all the holiday treats that will be consumed, it might be good to check this out and help others at the same time !

The day after and ready for Thanksgiving from scare to prayer

This is how guest found my door for HALLoween!

Since all orders that I am currently working on are for Christmas, please understand that I don’t want to spoil any surprises. For now I will post other pics of projects and ideas as food for thought…

Got three pumpkins (not carved, painted or glamed up) left from Halloween? I had about 30 minutes in between creating softies for Christmas orders to get my front door changed for the next holiday today. So I cut out “Count Your Blessings” using my Silhouette vinyl cutter(Troutkings BTN font set at 2.5 inches height) then transferred them to the three pumpkins that were leftover Halloween decorations, repurposed some silk leaves and an old wreath and viola…went from scare to prayer! And to think, I almost let the urge of rushing the holidays overtake me and transform my door to a Christmas theme. After seeing what hurricane Sandy did a couple of states away, I thought it better to slow down, give a little thanks and say a prayer for those affected. Thanks to all of you that have entrusted me to help surprise someone for Christmas this year. Thanks for your patience as I work through all the orders. I am blessed to be able to do something that I love and bring a smile to others.

Where’s Wawone?

A few months ago, Shelley’s sister, Cally contacted me to recreate a long-lost friend for her sister’s high school graduation present and I posted the video of her opening her surprise. http://s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u507/gr8fullycre8ive/?action=view¤t=IMG_1381.mp4 Since then, a video of a young man who lost his blue toy monkey years ago and was reunited with it made national news. http://moms.today.com/_news/2012/09/17/13917750-ah-ahs-back-viral-video-of-boy-reuniting-with-lost-lovey-will-make-you-cry?lite The cool thing about all this, there are less than the usual six degrees of separation between these two stories. Wawone was first shipped to Florida for the graduation surprise. Florida is also the same state that this young man’s toy monkey was shipped from to Omaha. Another twist in all of this? Cally told me in a recent email, that her friend was actually one of the first to post the “boy reunited with blue monkey video”. The world is really becoming a smaller place with all the technology and ways we have to communicate. Creating softies (a.k.a. Legacy 3D Creations) is a way for people to speak to the heart of another. I am grateful to play a part in another form of communication.

With all that being said, it leads me to a new venture I would like to share. Check in to see the Adventures of Wawone/Where’s Wawone?. Occasionally, a new pic of Wawone may surface and you can see how a gift can live on and take on a life of its own. I am also grateful to Cally and Shelley for being willing to be part of this experience.

Clawman!

Five year old Aidan loves to draw and tell stories about the things he draws. His parents love listening to his stories. Clawman is a superhero that has the combined powers of all the super heros…Hall of Creative Design found Clawman hanging out in Primary Tunnel. It’s like a black hole but with colors. The tunnel is where all superheroes go to learn how to use their powers. Since Clawman has so many powers, his stay in the tunnel was rather lengthy.

Asphalt and the Yellow Brick Road

You know, too many times I travel on asphalt and take it for granted. It gets me where I need to go. Sometimes, I let the potholes affect me more than the smooth parts. Sometimes, there are dead-ends or wrong turns even when I follow GPS. Sometimes, I follow asphalt that I’ve never been on before just to see where it leads. (It’s usually during this kind of journey I have experienced the coolest shift changes and inspiration.)

What does all of this have to do with The Yellow Brick Road? Like Dorothy’s journey on that golden path, I’m just usually trying to get home. And also, like Dorothy, I usually find out that I really have the power within to reach my destination. But ALWAYS it’s not until I notice what the light is doing to my path that I realize how blessed and thankful I am to be on this journey.

Asphalt is also called black top. My daughter and I find common ground on the fact that if you choose to see it, even through the dark, the light comes and there is a sparkle! Thank you, Trysten Skyler Hall (A.K.A Trysten, just plain Trysten) for teaching me so well.

It’s all in how you look at things…SPARKLE!
